My final picture of this rig. I had sold it and was waiting for it to be picked up by a driver who would deliver it to its new owner. I wanted daylight to show all around the engine to give the bike a look of airiness and perhaps lightness. I was young when I started motorcycles. I didn’t have one, but my friend Bud who lived down my street got one for Christmas and his dad would take it and us to the local dirt lot where everybody rode. We took turns riding it up and down the hills, around turns and over jumps. The feeling of a bike with power was addicting to me then and that feeling has stayed with me for a long time. I rode this one around the straight and flat roads of my part of Indiana for 7 years. Decided it was time to try something else. Or maybe not. We’ll see.
