Every couple of years we go out to the Atlantic with all the family. I like everything about those trips. Among all the usual activities I of course take pictures. I was walking the beach, stopping to take a picture of each house along the way when a homeowner stopped me asking what I was doing taking pictures of his beach house. I explained my intention was to later display the images in order along a wall in a mural like display of the beach neighborhood. He asked why don’t you buy a house here instead and live the beach life rather than look at it in pictures. Fair point I guess, I don’t know. I continued along the beach finishing my documentary photo project. We’ll be going to the ocean again in a couple of months from now. I’m looking forward to it and thinking about what kind of pictures I want to make. No doubt many of them will end up here on Picturelongmont.
