Someone brought a Luna Moth into the house yesterday. It was in the morning and by the time we saw it there was really not much left of it. But definitely enough, one wing, head with antennae, and a bit of the tail wing to know that it was a Luna. It’s a sad story. Probably one of the cats got it, but we didn’t see a cat with it so . . . I’ve never seen a Luna alive in the wild. When I was thirteen years old I learned about them. They always seemed like legend because they looked so good in pictures but no one had one in their collection because no one had ever seen one alive. Yesterday I held bits of one in my hand. Made me sad to find it that way, but happy too to know that one had been living right here at the condo.
